Fishing on LaSalle Lake has been good. Water temperature on the hot side in the upper 80's and on the cool side are in the low 70's.
The cats are biting as usual and the bass are biting as well. I have been getting most of the fish trolling. My biggest cat this year came on a spoonplug. He probably went 18-20 lbs. Lots of small largies which is good because we can see the stockings are doing well. Heideke is starting to turn on. The water is in the high 50's and with the full moon should be going any day now. The Kankakee River is doing well. Smallies are biting with fish up to 18". No big numbers for the day but quality fish. There are tons of rock bass biting. They are just smashing the baits.
Now is a good time to get out and fish, Good Luck.
